Floating house

Arkup House

There are many types of prefabricated houses, some built on the inaccessible hills and some built on the lakeside. Do you think that today is a beach house? No No No ! What I want to say is a house that can float freely at sea.

Designed by the Dutch construction company Waterstudio.NL, it is named Arkup, a two-story mobile home with a length of 22.9 m, including a building area of 404 m2.

The overall structure of the house was made of steel and was completed in the workshop of the dock.

It sells for $5.5 million (about 38 million yuan). The price does not include the furniture in the house. The matching furniture in the house requires an additional charge of 390,000 US dollars (2.74 million yuan). It is about 40.74 million yuan.

Arkup is currently being sold in Miami and plans to build another three in the coming year.

Compared to other floating houses or yachts we have seen, its most interesting feature is its hydraulic prop. These pillars can be extended to a depth of 6 meters to stabilize the house and raise it above the horizontal line.

It can withstand Category 4 hurricanes up to 155 mph (250 km/h).

A 36 kW solar panel (215 m2) and a battery pack of up to 1000 kW are also installed in the Arkup and propelled by a pair of 100 kW (272 hp) propellers with a range of up to 550 km.

The Arkup floating house combines the best features of yachts, houses and beachfront villas, combining comfort and luxury to relax and enjoy the life between the sea, the sky and the city. When the hydraulic pile rises, the house will dock in a quiet bay, which is as comfortable and safe as a land home.

Introduce the hull and look at the design of the ship, including the lounge area on the deck, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. There are also 4 bedrooms upstairs, each with an en suite bathroom.

The rest area is mainly divided into two areas.

Here is the best place to relax, sun bath, drink, and the other side is more suitable for sitting down and talking with friends.

Entering the room from the deck, you can see an open kitchen and dining room. The cabinets, island table and dining table are all white with wooden floors. The whole space is very clean and simple.

Seeing this, does it feel like this is a simple design residence?

The living room is dominated by rice tones, and the entire row of glass doors provides plenty of daylight for the living room.

The simple yet well-designed coffee table with vertical striped fabric rugs is simple and atmospheric.

An in-line bookcase is made on the background wall, which is both beautiful and convenient.

The orange single sofa chair and the books and flowers on the coffee table add vitality to the entire living room.

The rooms are on the second floor, this is a master bedroom with a gray background.

The floor-to-ceiling windows are installed in the whole row of the room. When you look up, you can see the blue sky and blue sky, let the sunlight naturally spill into the room, which is especially pleasant.

There is also a workbench in the room. Although the area is small, it is enough to write or write here.

The wrought iron ornament next to the bathtub is very special, imitating the anchor and the rope connecting the pier.

The other two guest bedrooms are not as big as the master bedroom, but they are also spacious enough. They are also designed to face the sea and provide a panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset.

One of the bedrooms has a door that leads directly to the outside of the house. There are two single sofas on the outside. Sitting here to blow the sea breeze and talk about life, there is also a flavor.

Don’t underestimate the sinks here. Every drop of water used here is rainwater collected through the roof’s water catching system. After filtering and purifying, it becomes usable water.
